LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Don Herbert, who as television's "Mr. Wizard" introduced generations of young viewers to the joys of science, died Tuesday. He was 89.

This is sad: I grew-up watching Mr. Wizard and remember fondly how fun and accessible he made science.
Discovery Channel's Mythbusters is a fantastic adult-version.
We need more shows to remind folks that science is cool and fun. And less Paris Hilton coverage.
